A small artisan laboratory, with an organic vocation and respect for tradition. Our pasta factory was founded in 2007 with the aim of producing superior quality pasta, respecting the environment and the health of people. It is the realization of a project started in 2000, the year in which Giorgio Minardo began to collaborate with the Experimental Station for the Graniculture of Caltagirone, moved by the aim of studying the Ancient Sicilian Grains.
Over the years, we have achieved important goals and our pasta has been rewarded with several awards. The last one arrived in 2018: Pastificio Minardo obtained the organic certification, a goal we are particularly proud of.
Every step of our production chain, entirely local, is strictly controlled. No chemicals or other harmful substances are used in any step. The ingredients we use to prepare our pasta are 100% Sicilian: ancient grains grown in Sicily and mineral water from a source located in the Nebrodi Mountains. The storage of raw materials takes place by single batch, the processing is handcrafted.
We care a lot about the local economy, and we want to bring a good, healthy and zero-kilometre product to the table of those who choose our pasta.
